A Little About Myself
If you can imagine it being a part of the web then I probably have some experience which I can share with you. I put together my first website in 1994. I have created virtual tours, social media campaigns, games, advertising apps, CRM tools, conference management apps, publication databases, blogs, websites both very big and very small …
I have experience managing projects using all the current social media systems, and I work with trusted partners and vendors. While I have created websites in various content management systems including joomla, typo3, and bitrix to name a few, I really do like the open source CMS Drupal and WordPress. Click here to see some of my past projects and clients.
I have consulted on over 300 online projects for diverse clients in the fields of private and public education, research, and business in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Canada, and the US. I work together with digital specialists, most of whom have also worked in the field since the early 90’s (since the previous century!) – and my network of partners spans the globe. In addition, I spend a lot of time thinking about digital communication – you can read some of my thoughts and ideas right here on my blog.
What Drives Me
Your project is very important – so the tools used to build that project should be equally as important. I am passionate about 3 things: Mobile First, Content Strategy, and Open Source. Using the right tools, and having the right focus, is the best way to ensure your project succeeds.
I was an early believer in responsive websites – websites that work on every device. Mobile device sales surpassed those of dekstop devices in the 4th quarter of 2011. Facebook reported that more user access on mobile devices than desktop in the 4th quarter of 2013. The “Mobile Moment” has already occurred, so let’s think mobile first.
